The Invitational is the Tam o'Shanter Men's Club signature and most highly anticipated tournament of the year. It brings together members and their invited guests for a weekend of camaraderie, competition, and socializing. This year's event takes place July 16 - 19. Don't wait to register as spots fill up fast.

  • Wednesday starts with an optional Skins game in the afternoon followed by a horserace tournament in the late afternoon. After the horserace, we will gather in Mulligans for the Calcutta.

    ​

    Thursday, Friday, and Saturday consists of 9-hole rounds of best ball match play against other teams in your division. First and second place divisional winners move forward to the final championship round on Saturday.

    ​

    Saturday closes out the tournament with an 18-hole modified Chapman format with minimum drives required from each player.

    ​

    Handicaps are the 12-month low GHIN for players adjusted for the format. Majors will bring back the 15-point handicap differential between playing partners. If the differential is more than 15-points, then the higher handicap player will be brought down to the 15-point differential of their playing parter.

  • There are lots of on-course contests and prizes available. Some of the more popular ones are:

    • Calcutta

    • Parimutuels

    • Long putt contest

    • Practice green to #13 green KP

    • 50/50

    • Putting challenge

    • Flop the wall

    • Hole in one - win a car

    • Hole in one cash prizes

    • KP contests

  • The entry fee is $550 per player ($1,100 per team). Entry fee includes:

    • Wednesday practice round;

    • Entry into the Wednesday optional horserace;

    • Thursday, Friday, and Saturday tournament;

    • Participant swag bags;

    • Pizza dinner on Wednesday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner Thursday through Saturday, and awards banquet dinner on Saturday night;

    • On-course beverages and snacks; 

    • And many opportunities for on-course contest prizes. 

    • Parimutuels, Calcutta, 50/50, and honey pots are extra.
